What foods should you avoid on a low sodium diet?

Almost all processed foods are high in sodium. Fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables are safe, but almost all canned goods are high in sodium. Check the label. If it says “no salt added,” it may be safe. Avoid soups, broths, dressing, condiments, salsa, cheese, and yogurt. Avoid ham, sandwich meats, and sausage. Be careful with all seasonings. Some add salt. Limit how much bread you eat. Avoid piecrust and pizza.

You can make substitutes for some of these things from scratch, but they won’t taste the same.

Here is a list of low sodium foods https://myallamericancare.com/blog/2019/12/28/low-sodium-diet-importance-meal-examples-tips-and-more/. You see. I used to follow that diet and should say it worked pretty well for me. Just mind that if you predominantly cook at home or eat home-cooked meals, you will have much better control over what you consume. Not only are you sure about the quality of ingredients, but you can intentionally cut out certain things from the recipe. Hope it can help. Good luck
